Volunteers:
Volunteering at HorsePower is an incredible and rewarding opportunity. It is much more than giving of your time, it is being a part of a child’s life. The volunteers at HorsePower are the backbone to our program.
It is amazing to see the impact that you can have in their lives. Without volunteers, our riders simply could not ride! We have session weekly for our students and we will keep that student with the same horse and the same volunteers. This is to allow them the opportunity to build that profound bond with the horse and they feel as if that horse is “their” horse and can also build that relationship with the volunteer. For many of our riders, it is the highlight of their week; for many of our volunteers, it is also the highlight of their week. Come and be part of our volunteer team.
Download and fill out volunteer forms, get directions to the ranch and refer to our schedule for the dates of each season.
Clothing:
It is best to wear jeans and boots (or flat bottom tennis shoes), and work gloves for your HorsePower duties. It is also important to bring a coat/hat/sunscreen, depending on the weather.
